It still gets around 20 mpg and uses about 1 qt of oil per 1,000 miles on the freeway (BMW set these cars up to turn higher revs on the freeway, I assume to feel more "sporty"). I bought this car about 3 years ago and it's been very dependable - almost 80,000 miles in the past 3 years.
